Terms of Service

Last updated: August 9, 2026

Welcome to JBOX. These Terms explain the rules for using JBOX, and what you can expect from us. We've written them to be as clear and human as we can, because trust matters to us as much as it matters to you. By creating an account or using JBOX, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who can use JBOX

You need to be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use JBOX. By using it, you confirm you meet that requirement and that everything you tell us during sign-up is accurate. If you're creating an account for an organisation, you confirm you're authorised to act on its behalf.

2. Your account

You're responsible for your account and for keeping your login details secure. Anything that happens under your account is your responsibility, so please don't share your credentials, and let us know quickly at support@jboxai.com if you think someone else has accessed your account.

3. Beta / early access

JBOX is currently in beta. That means we're actively building, and some features may change, move, or occasionally break. We may add, remove, or adjust functionality as we improve the product. We'll always try to give you a heads-up on significant changes, but during beta you should expect the product to evolve, and you use it understanding that.

4. Plans, credits and billing

JBOX runs on a mix of free credits and paid plans.

  • Credits are used as you build and publish. Your current balance and estimated usage are shown in the app.
  • Paid plans and top-ups give you additional credits and features. Prices, credit allowances, and what's included are shown at the point of purchase and may be updated from time to time.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically for the period you signed up for (for example, monthly) until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your chosen payment method for each renewal.
  • Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider. We don't store your full card details.
  • Taxes may apply depending on where you are, and will be shown or added at checkout where required.

5. Cancellations and refunds

You can cancel your subscription any time from your account settings. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of your current billing period, and you won't be charged again after that. Because credits and generated output are delivered digitally and often consumed immediately, payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law, or where we agree otherwise in writing. If something has genuinely gone wrong, talk to us — we'd rather sort it out than hide behind a clause.

6. What you can build (acceptable use)

We want JBOX to be used to build great things. To keep it safe for everyone, you agree not to use JBOX to create, host, or distribute anything that:

  • breaks the law or infringes someone else's rights (including intellectual property);
  • is designed to deceive, defraud, or harm others, including malware, phishing, or spam;
  • contains or promotes hateful, harassing, or sexually exploitative content, especially anything involving minors;
  • attempts to disrupt, reverse-engineer, overload, or gain unauthorised access to JBOX or its infrastructure; or
  • resells or white-labels JBOX itself without our written permission.

If you're not sure whether something's allowed, ask us. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

7. Your projects and your code — who owns what

You own your projects. The ideas and prompts you put in, the products you design on the canvas, and the code JBOX generates for you — that's yours. We don't claim ownership of your projects or your output. You're free to take the production code JBOX gives you and use it however you like, including commercially. To actually run the service — store your work, generate output, host your published apps — you give us a limited licence to use your content only for the purpose of providing JBOX to you. That licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, except where we're required to keep records by law or need a short period to complete deletion from backups. You're responsible for making sure the content you put into JBOX is yours to use, and that what you build with it complies with the law.

8. Our intellectual property

JBOX itself — the platform, the canvas, the software, our design system, branding, and everything that makes JBOX JBOX — belongs to us. These Terms don't give you any right to our name, logo, or technology beyond using the service as intended. Your projects are yours; the tool that builds them is ours.

9. AI-generated output

JBOX uses AI to help you build. AI is powerful but not perfect, so please keep this in mind:

  • Generated code and content are provided to help you, but you're responsible for reviewing, testing, and securing anything before you rely on it or ship it to real users.
  • We don't guarantee that generated output will be error-free, secure, complete, or fit for a particular purpose.
  • Similar prompts may produce different results, and output may occasionally resemble common patterns — you should check that what you publish is appropriate and lawful for your use.

In short: JBOX gives you a serious head start, but the final call on what you ship is yours.

10. Third-party services

JBOX connects with third-party tools to give you a complete product — for example backend, hosting, deployment, email, and version control providers. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms, and we're not responsible for how they operate or for any issues they cause. We choose our partners carefully, but they're independent of us.

11. Publishing and hosting

When you publish an app through JBOX, you're responsible for what it does and the content it serves. You must have the rights to everything you publish, and it must comply with these Terms and the law. We may suspend or take down published apps that break these rules or put JBOX or others at risk.

12. Privacy

We take your data seriously. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and how we handle it, and forms part of these Terms.

Read the Privacy Policy

13. Suspending or closing accounts

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account if it breaks these Terms, creates risk for JBOX or others, or where we're required to by law. Where it's reasonable and safe to do so, we'll give you notice and a chance to put things right first. If your account closes, sections of these Terms that are meant to survive — like ownership, disclaimers, and liability — continue to apply.

14. Disclaimers

JBOX is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we work hard to make it reliable, we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly secure — especially during beta. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties we haven't expressly made in these Terms.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, JBOX and its team won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to JBOX is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that can't be excluded by law.

16. Indemnity

You agree to cover us for reasonable claims, damages, and costs that arise from your misuse of JBOX, from content you create or publish, or from your breach of these Terms.

17. Changes to these Terms

As JBOX grows, we may update these Terms. When we make meaningful changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where the change is significant, let you know in the app or by email. If you keep using JBOX after a change takes effect, that means you accept the updated Terms.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of that jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
